at any rate, I'd probably use 1 of these 2 options:
- liquid mask either the outside lens and leave the dotted holes open for paint, depending upon the color of the car (lights vs darks), or liquid mask inside the dotted holes and leave the lens open.

or

- paint the dots by hand with a brush after everything else has been painted

I used a variation of the 2nd option on my r34's

thanks for the tips.... not juss cabo, but everybody... they helped. but, I thought about it, and I think it would look better if I just painted over the tailights/headights, because the color of the tailights would be too close to the color of the car...
