There's very fast, unbelievably fast.. and then there's me with stupid fast.

Just got the Mini-T pro today. had all the necessary hopups to handle my 6800kv brushless (powered by quark!)

It already balloons the tires on just a 2 cell lipo. I hate to think what would happen if I stuck in my 3 cell.

yea by about ten times.

this gear is the same as it was in my M18. That thing shot through 60 feet in about a second and a half.

I love cracking the throttle on this thing.. does catwalks for as long as I can hold it.

Thought about it, but naw. I set up the slipper so the truck can claw the air but won't backflip. looks cooler that way.

I took it out for a burn today and I swear, this has to be the most fun I've ever had with an RC vehicle. Gobs of power and it's just fast.. but completely controllable.

Jumping this thing is different. never jumped anything before but this definitely let me know that throttle control is a must, otherwise it ends up on it's roof.

I gotta get the body painted up but I'm headin into town for a drift meet. There's some dirt and a small 18 scale track there, so I'll be bringing this with me.

Now it's had a few runs under it's belt.. the diff has held up well. Mainly because it was a ball diff that was already installed. Dual disc slippers are holding well.

I threw in a HS55.. that lasted maybe twenty minutes. snapped a few teeth on a hard landing. shit.

The hard landing also blew out a hub carrier and bent one of the CVDs!

What's funny is the jump wasn't all that big. it carried maybe five feet and I didn't hit it with much speed. Where I was running it, I can't get much speed anyways because of a ton of gravel.

I threw in the 3 cell lipo just for kicks. thermaled almost right away.

Love the truck but i'm really disappointed in the servo saver and the oil shocks. the former doesn't do it's job and the latter plainly suck.

yeah well $500 in upgrades was the result of me wanting to go faster lol

be prepared to replaced gobs of plastic parts. And FYI, whatever you don't replace WILL break. Even stupid shit you didnt think would break!

I'm not really into all out speed, but I'm big into acceleration.

It's nice that people have trucks that can go 50, 60mph. I'd rather have something that goes about 25mph or so but gets up there in the blink of an eye.

More fun that way.

BTW, anyone got any recommendations for a set of shocks?

That's the way I like it.

You got the Losi shocks I assume? I can't tell you how disappointed in those made in Taiwan cheap copies of their 1/10th shocks. Their 1/10th scale shock are some of the best out there, but these resemble them only in looks.

Since I got the same crappy shocks I can't really recommend any other brands, but I'll tell you grease the o-rings up with Associated Green Slime, and they'll seal better and be a lot smoother. I used Teflon tap on the threads, but they still leak a little. Good enough I suppose.

I run GPM alloys in my mini-t and my only problem I ever had was the ball ends breaking. But I ended up replacing any broken ones I had with ball ends from turnbuckles(you'll have to shave some off the back side so there ends up a hole) and I haven't broken another since.
