cool idea though... and not just for demo derbys, but full out demolition racing. a wedge/cattle catcher and drill bit sticking out of the hood sounds do-able. ah so many ideas, so little time

i saw some wind up toys of the robots from the english show. didn't look too long, but they had some of the contestants bots as well as the house robots. none of the weapons were automated, they just drive forwards. pretty lame on their own considering what can be done now, but it wouldn't take much to jam some electronics in 'em and go the cat! there were 2 sizes, bit sized ones and the others had a wheelbase about the size of a miniz. that was before christmas and when i went in the other day there were none.
