Putting the finishing touches on my first ZZSE. Haven't seen a ton of love for the Torino around here, but I like the big ghetto rollers. Now I'm working on cramming an SSMT motor in it. Needs a little touch up but after that the body will be done.
Slot lowered, bumpers smoothed, smoothed the lines in the body (the molded big ass grooves in around the white on the original paint job) shaved the little "door handles" off to. No lights of course, cause the torino doesn't drop at all with the board in.

Now, with all the rest.

i hate to be a downer but i'm just not digging it at all. paint looks rough and i'm not into the colour scheme.

i'm just offering an opinion though, all that matters is whether you like it.

The paint is rough, the gunmetal is all done with a shithouse brush (I cant find my fucking camel hair brushes, I had to use a testors synthetic ) I may or may not add a silver pinstripe to get a straight line between the colors. Still need to clean the windows up and what not too.

A sliver pinstripe would really help to set it off. I think two color combos should always have a divider, but that's just me.

I like your ideas, you have good potential, just need more practice.
I remember mine and many other "first" few mods. We all hadda start
somewhere. Read through our modding section to get hints. You will make
many mistakes but just keep at it.
Forget brush painting for now, it's much easier with these:

No its not just you, that's me too. I'm sure others would agree too.

I agree. Save the brushes for detailing and use sprays for covering areas. It really looks so much smoother.

Not to mention a can of spray paint is cheaper than a halfway decent brush.

alright, you've convinced me, I'm going to spray where it's gunmetal now black (since that's what I have in a can right now) and put a stripe between them.

Hey, before you do that, get some 400-800 grit sandpaper and wet-sand that bitch until you get the brush marks out, otherwise they'll still be there after you spray.

I say just do another car! Leave that one as is and improve on the next one that way you can see the difference (mistakes) and make corrections, not only in the paint but in other areas. Also this will introduce you to taping techniques.

theres alot of cars round here with 2-tones just like that, it just dont look right on urs cuz u need the 24's to go with the lift kit!

24's and a lift kit on a car = homo. Lifts are for trucks, ones that get used as a truck. On the brush mark thing, I'm going to strip that half of the car back to where I had it, then spray it.

He's saying that your ride looks lifted so it needs 24's to look right.

Not bad, it definitely needs a dividing stripe. That would help. Keep goin, you'll get better and better with each project.
