RC4WD Product Issues
I bought a 10T/48P pinion from RC4WD and when I went to install it the set screw just spun. Almost no bite.
I emailed RC4WD and they sent me a new pinion.
I just finished trying to install the new one.
It did the SAME thing.
I intend on sending both of the pinions back for a refund.
So if you plan on buying a pinion from them, please think about it twice.
I've bought other products from them and have had little or no issues, so please don't take this as a knock on RC4WD, just the pinions I've tried.
Other RC4WD products I've bought with little or no issues...
-Shocks
-Spur gear (Would not fit the spur locker. Had to remove about >1mm of plastic from the pegs.)
-Beadlock wheels (Had an issue with the depth of the holes, I had to find thinner hexes for them to work. Stock TLT hexes are too thick.)
-Wideners (bought 2nd hand)
-6/32 rod ends

I agree, however...crazydave wrote:Thanks for the heads up. I've always used Robinson Racing pinions and never had a problem. I figure they make gears and just gears, so they must know gears.
They don't make the size that is needed. They don't venture far from the cash cow, which is mainstream RC. Maybe in the future they will.
Until then, you gotta buy from who's selling the product you want.
