You want your tires to hold the floor better

Post by Stoli »

Hey all. I use this stuff at work called rubber renew. We use it to rejuvenate printer wheels when the lose there pickup power due to drying up. A couple shots of this stuff is all it needs.

So... I was thinking of trying it on my bit since I have dusty hardwood floors and hairspray just picks up all tha shiat and makes the tires spin like crazy.

I used about 2 drops on each tire let it dry for about 5 mins and no more skids. My bit corners like a mutha. I can also wheelie everytime instead of once and a while. Its awesome stuff.

maybe your stuff is different.

i dont bother cleaning them anymore all i do now is put em on a slick surface and put em against a wall or something so it cant go anywhere but i can spin the tires until they warm up. this helps a lot.

I'll tell you something haven't tried on bit tires yet, but when I raced 1/10th scale me and my partner used to call this our secret weapon.

We used to use Simple Green on our tires. It's a degreaser, and any degreaser will give you more traction, by way of removing oils, but for some reason Simple Green softens the tires and leaves them sticky. It's organic and safe, used it for a whole racing season with no problems.

I'm going to try it on bit tires, just waiting until we need some kitchen cleaner, but my wife keeps buying some Lysol citrus crap. Looks like I'll have to go to the store myself one of these days.
...crazy man, crazy...dig it.

I have some Simple Green but I don't want to use it until I find out it's safe since I have no extra tires...Anyone know if it's safe?
