meaning what? or leading to what?

how would a 'drain source' cause extra power?

I'm at a loss on what your asking.

EDIT: what do you mean by 'led leads' ?
I assumed you ment L.E.Ds. maybe not?

i mean the wires that run from the pcb that hook up the leds. instead of having that power the leds, have that go to the motor along with the normal motor wires in parralel.

When you hit the forward button on a se, it lights up the lights.. I guess he's saying that if you direct that current to the motor, would it juice it more.

I think.

silla :D

Edit: Damn you're fast hog.. I quess I wasn't far off the mark.

i tryed that on a motorworks and i noticed more speed...but the motor works car is no more...therfore i traded the rims and idler with pimpike...because the shaft that hold s on the idler is huge and a regular bit idler doesnt fit

I'm wondering how much of a difference there'd be between just NOT hooking up the LEDs, and direct wiring the LEDs leads to the Motor.

The SE manual says not hooking up the LEDs causes less load and therefore could make the car go faster.

That makes think that there'd be no extra juice by direct wiring.

I'm guessing the LEDs are hooked into the main circuit (let's say for argument sake that the circuit is running 100mA at 2.4v). Whenever hitting forward of reverse, the LEDs takes its' part and loads the main line (dropping either the mA or v of the main circuit).

Think of it like it's a water hose. the LED is like a small leak in the hose. Whether you plug the leak (same as not hooking up the LEDs) or plug a smaller hose to the leak and run it back to the main line (which would be what Hog suggested for wiring the LED leads back to the main circuit)...You end up with the same result. There's probably a couple of people who will comment on this without reading this far, you're a nut tard if you do (let's see who does).

And there you have it.

hmm i dono if its hooked into the main circuit cuz when you hook an led up to the motor circuit it does not light up. when the car is under heavy load(dual cell) because the motor is drawing everything and there isnt enough power to turn the led on(edit i forgot to mention that once it revs up the light kicks on so this could be used as a crude hp meter). but in vids ive seen of ses they turn on as soon as you hit fwd so that tells me that they are not on the same circuit as the motor.
