I looks ok, but I wouldn't say it looks like crap.

I just think it's a little over exagerated. Maybe you could just sand it back. Then it should also look smoother when you re paint it.

Emery boards work good for shaping things.

I agree with crazydave.
doesn't look like crap, but could use improvements.
at least you tried and got some results!

again, agreeing with crazydave, some more sanding would help shape those out better.

good work dude.

Brendan, how is the modelling clay holding up?

Is it hard, or brittle (breaks off when you drive it)?

This is the closest thing that I can get to modelling putty so your input is invaluable.

It holds up good to make it go hard quick i just use a hair dryer, but i believe if u were driving on a high table and it fell off it would proberly brake off.

Kinda hard to see but looks okay to me. Gotta 3rd the advice on sanding it down some to make it more proportional. The T-Top is a lil long, can't quite tell what car that is, looks kinda like a WRX which is a 4 door so if you're going to do a T-Top,as a rule, keep it over the front doors, more realistic if you must do a 4-door. Good Work Pimp! Post a Pic of that prize !

It's not bad, and sometimes the only way to learn about body kits, putty, etc, is to dive in and do it. I agree with the sanding, and when you do the sanding, put a coat of primer on when you think you're done sanding and it will show the flaws so you can sand some more before you paint it.

If I were you, I wouldn't paint that Skyline. I only say that cuz I must have 6 Skyline bodies that are either clear, white or blackl. When you get one that already has a fairly cool race look, I'd paint something else, but that's me.

I agree, I'd keep that one just like it is, do some internal modding, since it's a special race painted car and because you requested that one, shall I go on ???? LOL

Just hit it with a clear coat to keep it fresh!

whats a emery board
One of those like card board sanding sticks women use to file their nails. It's cool there's a shaping, and a finishing side, and they're real cheap.
