Need the true story.

General discussions, new info, and all stuff that's how you say, off the hook. Bit, ZZ, SE, MT, SS... as long as it's micro, it's here.

Need the true story.

Post by TheEvo »

Thought this was the right place to post it.

To the topic.
In Little Denmark we have a discussion about microsizers and Tomy.
I say they are 2 different companies, and that one of the parts bought the idea.

The other half says that Tomy chose another name for US/Europe.

I know that the teknique are the same.

P.S. Did you know microsizers are about to be sold in Scandinavien?

Just to put a little more detail to it...

Tomy is the worldwide Distributor of the Bit Char-G. Hobbico bought the rights to the Bit Char-G to sell in the U.S. and markets them as the MicroSizers.

So...
Hobbico (MicroSizer) = U.S.
Tomy (Bit Char-G) = Everywhere else

Actually I think that tomy is the manufacturer/distibuter for japan/asia where as the rest of the world gets microsizers (usa, europe, aussieland etc.) I don't know if hobbico distros the MS in the other countries.
Either way the answer to the question is that they are exactly the same car and most likely manufactured in the same chinese plant. :-)

Actually, I believe Aussieland gets Compact Char-Gs...

But yeah Namuna's got the basic jist. Great Planes distributing bought the distribution rights to bits in the US, ands they call them Microsizers. Great Planes also distributes Kyosho, Duratrax, and some other brands that all seem to be tied in to Tower Hobbies, which is across the street in Champaign IL.
...crazy man, crazy...dig it.

actually guys.

i produce them in my living room. i run a sweatshop with about 30 vietnamese kids who run the whole process. i start them out at 2$ a day and after 3 years when they ask for a raise i just fire them and hire another kid.

hobbico is just a front that i made up to launder the money from my prostitution ring.
