350z - W.I.P
Here's my 350z, she's still a work in progress but I thought what the hell, why not share it with the pimps.
I pretty much have to play the waiting game for a least 24 hours to allow the coats of clear finish to dry and harden. Then I'll be cool to continue on.
I removed the tape. btw, I didn't need to score the tape edges with a knife. The paint didn't chip as it has done before. It might have to do with the fact that I know more about what I'm doing now than before, oh wel......
So here's the shell pretty much done (drying on a pullback chassis)save a few finer details.

I'm keeping the light fittings clear (like on my gloria) so I may install some headlights/rearlights.

thanks man
The lines aren't painted at all. I actually had done a dark perl blue base coat. Well, it was gonna be that colour but the fricken spraycan ran out! So I used some tamyia paint for the first time ever and I gotta say it's bloody good! The tamyia paint is a pearl light blue and it seems that the colour of the darker blue undercoat highlighted the lines and contours of the shell.
Also, did you notice the back of the car? *subtle*

you got it barto! I wanted to try my hand at putty and bogging up the back. It's a pratice mod, learning how the putty handles.

Hey Dave, you will be happy to know that I took your suggestion and got a proper handbrush to do detailing with. Never done it before 'cause I never thought I'd have a steady enough hand for it! Sofar i'm quite happy with the results. All I'm waiting on now is to install the head lights and rear lights.
