Nice clean work on the details.

I did all the body lines in black on my first Zip Zap, and all the kiddies @ TRC ripped on it, so I haven't done it since. I didn't even do mine solid black, I just put it on, then wiped it off, so there was a little shadow in the crevices.
...crazy man, crazy...dig it.

Dave, you do realize that they're just jealous cause all your cars kick ass.
I have only done this to a couple of cars, and I think that it adds some realism. I tried wiping some of it out to lessen the black, but it didn't work so well.

Sorry DT, Forgot about that. I looked at the car when it was done, and that name just popped into my head.

You can do this:

1. paint body with white base
2. draw black lines with thin waterproof marker
3. paint body using airbrush

And this is how it looks (2 layers of metallic blue):

Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

Thx :) This is my first airbrush job.

I think that another good way to do dark lines is using Citadel ink close to body colour.

You can buy them here:

Now I like that idea, I've never been too particular about outlining every crevis in black. I don't mind, and have done it where a real car may have rubber, around the lights, windows, sunroof, and blacken out vents but not the doors, hood, trunk, etc. Personal Preference!
