Question: Decals........
This is for those that have made their own decals. Is there a special ink you're using?(non laser) A certain type of paper?
Using an HP PhotoSmart with standard ink. Ink runs as soon as water hit's it, and I am using a decal clearcoat spray..........

There is a special printer that uses waterproof inks, but I don't have the cash to get one.
I've seen decal paper in one of my LHS's that comes with a clearcoat spray in the package.
On the websites that sell the decal paper for inkjets it say use KRYLON acrylic clear to seal it.

Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

Welcome back Pimp!
Yeah I guess maybe it needs to sit longer. I did do a second coat last night, I'll see how it turns out. Only thing about that is that it makes the decal thick and less flexable but you do what ya gotta do!
Hey CJ, what's the scoop on the Vette clearance ? $35.00
Last year didn't they clear them out for $19.00 or $29.00 ?

The 2nd coat of clear worked. Will post results later........cj wrote:Sounds like you and I have a similar printer. I apply at least two coats of that clear that micro-mark sells when I print mine. when I didn't it usually ran. I also just dip briefly to get the paper wet so as not let water under the clear coat.
