My new bit got bit slapped! HELP!!!!
i just picked up a new bit clone. i dont know why but i really liked this car, it had fine performance and really nothing wrong unlike most clones. So i take it out with me somewhere, and my little cuzin comes with us. So im drivin it on the floor at this place and it runs dry... so i pick it up and slap in on the charger, then out of nowhere my cousin is spining around and slaps the bit smack off the charger and it flies 8 feet through the air and impacts the ground at high velocity.
......
WTF!!!! well ive had bits that endured things like this..but well this one didnt. Now it drives just fine but doesnt steer at all....well maybe a bit of streering but making a turn on my track is impossible. i really really like this car... someone tell me whats wrong and what surgery i must perform.
oh ya.. i havent checked the steering wires yet.. but seeing that it does infact steer a little proves there ok. oh wait, my brain is fried... i did check them, and there ok.

hmm steering magnet.... im taking it apart as i type. ok, undid the tiny screw, pulled off the front....ok the magnet is infact knocked off balance... so i fixed the magnet... and now the little metal springy thing got stuck to the magnet and i forgot how it goes back on...this is probably the thing that resets the wheels after there attracted to the coils. how does it go back on? i tried a few ways but they dont do anything.

oh boy! ok the steering works now. but i must have broken this wire in the making. now the wheels dont spin. i traced the wire back and stuck in on the ground section of the pcb... i tested, the wheels spun. so i made a quick fix and used a teeny tiny piece of electrical tape to put it to ground for temporary. well now it doesnt go in reverse, but it goes twice the speed in forward
. my electrical tape didnt hold so i took it off. man i feel like a brain surgeon.

heh heh! steep learning curve, hey!
have a look at this

soldering the wires is the only way to go. you might get away with twisting wires together and using tape for a while, but it just don't cut it
