350 Z Boosters
So I still haven't had a whole lot of time to mess with mine yet
What motors are you guys slamming in these boosted 350's?
and are you running it boosted most of the time?
I find that I'm running in boost mode most of the time.
If I remember correctly, I have a 2.2 in there now, another one of the reasons I'm kinda irked these motors from bitchar-g.com haven't come yet, I'm thinking the 2.6 would a nice motor for it.
what's your thoughts?

Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

My opinion...The 3.8 Motor (green endbell) is the best, most fun Motor to be paired with the Booster (that I've toyed with so far anyway).
It's QUICK unboosted, and when you hit the 'turbo' the thing plain PEELS THE HELL OUT!
Oh something else...You can actually 'sort of' drift with this shit! I love that part! Throw it on a hardwood floor, come around a turn and tap that turbo just right and you've got a nice little tail flutter.

naw, you're sexy and shiat! lol
I was thinking the same thing, run boosted all the time and use the button to go slow, but didn't know if anyone was doing that or if it were even necessary after a motor change.
I was doing little drifts on my track that way, pushing the boost coming out of the turn, looked cool.
what the majority of your driving - in close quarters or open areas?

Ok, ok.... I spent 2 hours last night checking motors again... I tested every motor I have, and the 2.6 by far is the best booster motor around that I've tested...CaboWabo wrote:no I know, I was looking for some input from the goons that bought the Z just recently... like payaso
When I race, I like hils and obsticles... I like the speed of the 3.8, but in unboosted mode it crawls
silla
payaso......

What 3.8 you runnin?
Mine is the green endbell 3.8 (From Tiny)...What makes mine different is that it's pretty damned efficient! In my Motor Tests I found that the 'typical' current drain (which means what it runs off of under normal load) for this motor was actually pretty close to the 2.6, which is to say failry low...But when you put it under load (like from a dead stop or pullin out of turns), it pulls plenty of juice.
What am I getting at? Well that 3.8 you're using might need the high current at all times, so it's piss poor when starved on unboosted mode. The 3.8 I got runs great under normal to low current, and kicks balls when the juice flows.
