ok my coworker had to get a toner cartridge today so i went along and low and behold they had chevelles and torinos. so i got the chevy

ive only ran it for about 2minutes but heres my take on them:

looks:
the body is superb. absolutly the best body on any bit or zz to date. the only se ive seen where the rear sits higher than the front!! the bumpers are separate pieces of plastic. any chevy or oldschool muscle fan will love this body.

electronics:

twitch is still there. the motor has a different looking contact on the back. bigger so im sure its the same or better than the old style.

speed/torque:

not sure yet but possibly improved. then again probably not if they didnt bother to fix the twitch.

so for those of you who just want the muscle bodies id wait a few weeks to see if they offer a body kit. im sure they will. but now i have two working ses so thats kinda cool i guess. time to bust out the soldering iron to fix this twitch.

I concur... my Audi has got a little more performance than my Gen 1 Enfini..<sp?

you should bust out your old one for a good side by side race.

How'd the Torino look in person?

its slightly faster than the mustang. it seems to like the perfection 3.8 better than the mustang. more investigation.

I just got the torrino and I concur with hogs findings. It also seems to have a tighter steering radius. :-)

ya i put the 3.8 in there and it actually has a power band after taking a few inches to open up. its still not perfect but at least they came out with a killer bod and it has a little more power. its fun enough i guess.

**edit** i just cracked her open and found some disturbing shit.
steering is twitchy but they dont have the resistors between the wires and board anymore and the pot has all 3 wires goin to their own terminal(unlike 2nd batch) with no jumper(unlike 1st batch). so i have no clue how to get rid of the twitch. and ya they do produce more torque/top end than the previous ones**edit**

oh ya the battery is the same

**another edit**

fuckin strange shit. i put everything back together(didnt change anything on purpose) tightened the screws down and tested to make sure it still worked and mr twitchy went on vacation at least. :???: :???: :???:

**another edit**

The 2 wire ZZ SE.can the steering be fixed or is it solely the 3 wire?

I haven't had any luck trying to fix the steering by any of the posted fixes since they are mainly for the 3 wire setup. I have tried adding the third wire and resistors but it just wouldn't stop stuttering and turning unevenly.

Ive read that the ZZ SE was going to be released in Canada in April / May. While usually i would ignore such rumors while ive been here ive seen several products that were initially US only releases show up on Canadian shelves to my surprise. Can one of you pimps confirm this ?
