project vw bus
Here is a new rc i am working on, i tried to buy a bus body from other sources but deamed unsuccesful. none the less i will do this up right. first photo is the start and it is made from stiren plastic, and then u see clay impressions of the detailed areas of a diecast bus i had, then i poured resin into them, to use later. the second photo is of the wheels i just added, actually they are hub caps on top of stock wheels.

You do great, and incredible work, but take it easy. Save the moldin', and formin' for stuff you can't buy or that is totally unique!! Like that off the hook Citroen you did. (I think I spelled that right-- Citroen?)

i never get any emails responded, so i checked out the ride of the week were this geise guy had the bus, its the latest ride of the week on this sight...lol and anyways i typed it into the browser his name that is and added rc and it took me to a sight that he post alot, and i emailed him about the bus in the rotw and he said thats were he got his bus and they were straight shooters, i dunno i never got any answeres from them. maybe they do not read english as i dont read french, thats the sucky part, so i also got online and ordered this casting starter kit from micro mark with all the stuff i need to start casting my own bodies, and i will share them with all of you here aswell. i noticed that the toyeast ones did not have these really cool vw rims like my little rc has, hehe

vw wheels
thanks dave, those wheels came off a maisto vw samba and in the 1/40 scale, i just took my small file for the xacto and shaved the tops off the wheels and they fet real nice, oh and i had to take the face off the rc's rims aswell, took me about three hours, turned out pretty nice, what i want to do is cast this body when done and share them with whom ever wants one,

I need some help with my project. i have been trying for days to get the proportions of this bus right, let me know if something dont look right, like the cab, is it tall enough, or is it to long. this is the bus above that i have decided to turn into a truck since i was able to get the bus from toyeast, acually 2 of them from te... lol
anyways give me your point of view on this one and i will listen.

bus
thanks guys just wanted a second opinion before i start on the details and primer , i dont want to scrap it again, i think that i need to bring the rear portion down just a bit, not by tab lowering but just add some more plastic , it now looks like its lower in the front, and i think that it would look best having the front and rear at the same height, , i still need bumpers and that will give it that even lower look. so still have a bit to go still but will get it right eventually..

I see what your saying, but the extra thin piece might be the first piece to break in a crash.
What about taking away from the front just a pee pee hairs worth?
