Beater Bug

Post by Bird »

I was hoping to get a couple of decent pics of my "bird effect" convertible project to update the thread with the shaping I have done to the front end since I posted the pics of it originally... but, it wasn't meant to be. The pics came out terrible.
So, while we were messing with lighting and distance trying to get better pics, I threw my bedtime budget beater Bug on the table and snapped a few... and whaddayaknow, they actually came out half decent.
There is absolutely nothing special about this car, other than it's the car that I drive around on my bed at night while I have my bedtime cig on the nights that my missus is still up chatting with her soap opera friends.
It is a Thundercharger, totally stock, with a ms VW Beetle body that I got at Target for like $2 a few months back, gave to a neighborhood kid to have something nice on his clone, and then bought it back(got a bunch of Homies and a whooped clone chassis in the deal, too) after he beat it up a bit and markered the windows... I threw it on the chassis, slapped a few stickers on it, and now it's one of my favorite beater cars.

Definately nothing special, but a damn fun little beater none the less.

I find that hopped up Xmods work much better on cats, more enertia!!! Just ask mine!!! If you catch'em sleepin' with there head on the floor, you can attempt a concussion manuver!!

haha I wish I still had cats to torture, but they had to go... long story involving obsessions with outside and multiple flea bombings lol... I have a body that I'm prepping for this, another Beetle, but everytime 219 is over here with the putty, I get caught up in filling something on my convertible project and totally forget to fill the antenna hole on it... I'll get around to finishing that body and update this when it's done and make this legit... right now I just consider it a cool throw together of stock stuff...

I had a beater bug, but everyone said it was too purty to call a beater...

I was just trying to cover the crack up the back of the body. :?

At any rate I decided I didn't like the way it steered with transplanted coils, so I chopped the front end off replaced it with a Micro Speed one, and that car became my offroad pickup.
...crazy man, crazy...dig it.
