Mild makeover
When I threw together this targa topped RX-7 I was not feeling very well, but wanted to make some kind of showing in the contest. I threw a little bit of everything in there, but I wasn't real happy with the way it came out. It's a little overboard for me, and I always had handling issues with the MS Pro, and the alloys, with pen grip tires didn't help that, especially after I added FETs.
So I almost never used it in the last year. I got to thinking, it was one of my most expensive micros, I really should get it working right.
So I ditched the alloys, and put some Zip Zap wheels on Thunder Charger Steering knuckles. I also brought over a TC sway bar. It's now my best handling car. To celebrate, I threw a Perfection 4.2 Elvis in it, and some Zip Zap red gears. It's screamin' fast now too.
The body kitting looked silly without the fat tires, so I broke it off. That's harder than it sounds. I sanded down the tops of the seats, so they don't stick out the top of the roof. And I never liked how I layed the grey paint too thick, and it's raised up, so I spent a few hours rubbing it down with rubbing compound, and wax, to get it to a smooth level glass-like finish.

I also made over the rear end with more detail. I like it a lot better now.

I think it looks better now, some might not agree, but at least now I can say with some confidence that I think it might just take ya on my track.

Wow, what a difference the new tail light treatment makes.. that black really brings everything together in the back. Man, I need to go back and readdress some of my old cars... I forget I can do that. I;m always fussin with somethin' new, even though I've got at least 8 old cars that could use a serious tune up.

Nope, even though I'm ineligible, I'm still gonna put together something extra special for my invalid entry.DarkTari wrote:It is goin over in Da Swing & Bling right ???

That was my headset. Once it was done, it was done, and I'd leave it, but now when I go back to play with some of my older cars, I discover I have higher standards now, so I think I'm gonna spend some time going over all my cars.hue35 wrote:Man, I need to go back and readdress some of my old cars...
