Super Street Acura body set for the SE
Found this at the Shack troday.
I kinda like the RSX, so I had to get it. It includes 2 bodies, 2 sets of tires, 2 sets of new hubcaps, 2 sets of spare wings in alternate colors, and 3 sheets of decals.
1 set of decals is Super Street and Zip Zap logos, but the others are kinda cool, with graphics, stripes, Acura logos, numbers, and CF hoods.
The stickers are pretty nice, and fairly thin, but could be a lot more flexible. The CF hoods are cut no where near close to fitting the shape of the hood.
The bodies have separte front and rear ends to hide the slots, and look fairly long, and more true to scale than other Zip Zap bodies, when they're off the chassis.
You might notice a slight lip along the bottom edge of the side, like it's body kitted, and the windows are blacked out. What that is for, is what appears to be an underglow light, but I haven't tested it yet.
Unfortunately, the bodies sit like monster trucks because of that little underglow thingy.
The front tabs on these chassis are already lowered for my muscle car bodies, so you can imagine how bad it would be. On teh pluse side, since it has sparate pieces for the front and rear ends, it should be easy to cut new slots, but the underglow thingies might have to go.
Bottom line, pretty disappointing for $12.99. I mean 3 sheets of almost decent decals in place of 3 gear sets, and 2 fast motors. That don't calculate. I'm wondering if I was mischarged.

Yeah, you know when I saw these, my first thought was, "Hey how come I didn't know about these?" Then shortly after I got home with them, it occurred to me, "Oh yeah, they'd probably get into these more at TRC than bitPimps."hogjowlz wrote:i can imagine over on trc or mrcc right now
"dude its so much like fast and furious. i put the stickers on and i can drift better now!!! and the underlighting would make me jizz my pants if i was old enough to produce sperm"
Oh well, I'm a sucka for stickers.
Alright, here's the deal Radio Shack, the stickers they were entertaining for a moment there, but no where near the value of a fast motor and gears. So I propose you don't do this again, and return we'll save our money for the good stuff, but would it really kill you to include one little sticker sheet with every Zip Zap, and body set?

Bah my Shacks up here are hella slow. Don't have those bodies yet. But you know me, I love my Jap cap Rice and I am a sucker for Hondas. Now Don't be Hatin But the stickers instead of motors is very very lame. I'll smack up some Shack bitches for all yall. Won't get me anywhere but should be entertaining.

Maybe slughtly better, but about the same really.hogjowlz wrote:how do they sit on a regular zz?
At the risk of sounding cheesy, the underglow works pretty good, and I like it.
So I guess I'll save these bodies for night racing, but I'm already figuring how I could hook up the SE lights to function with a bit PCB, so maybe I can get it lowered on a standard Zip Zap chassis, and still keep the lights.
A couple more notes; these bodies are extra wide, the fatty Zip Zap wheels in the back almost look right, certainly better than the stock wheels. And also the larger more scale looks has the drawback that a little Integra dwarfs a '69 Camaro sitting next to it. That just aint right.

Yeah we finally got these in today and after the initial ooooh coooool rice baby I was quickly disapointed, well for th average consumer I was that is.
These things sit like total shit on the bodies, and the seperate front ends have a disgustingly huge gap on em. Also like CD said, these are so big they are closer to Superslick size. Now the plus side for us pimps, these BEG to be thrown on Bit chassis w/ the apropriate mods. Add a little putty and a gnarly wheel conversion and these American jap crap wannabes will look so damn hot!
Oh also, as far as the stickers are concerned, I thought up an idea. Stickers blow but think about it, what you do have is pre masked off stenciles. Granted I don't even own these yet to give it a try, but it has the possiblity. What do you think Dave, would it work?
