Got LED?

This is a work in progress for my summer comp entry. I know I haven't done much 1/64 modding lately so I thought I'd pull somthing outta my arse to show that I (think) still got it..??....

I got some clear plastic rod and glued a small SMD blue LED on one side. What you see is about 1.5cm long.

With 3V going though it:

thanks fellas. there's a lot of outstanding work yet. I've bogged up the arse end , gotta sand and clean the edges where I've joined the leds/plastic beams.....

I'm trying to figure out how I can use the glow that's going through the chassis with paint to make a cool effect. you know, like some sorta masking of a pattern that will show through. now that will be cool.

knowing my luck though I'll prolly fuck it up.................

clear body, mask it out to leave some clear stripes or something and paint the rest - man that'd be tron hot!

anyways, I've maksed the car for the inside paint job. I'm using white here for it's ability to reflect light as excellent......

How about flames? fade some candy color into the front, mask the flames, and paint the rest in an opaque color.

I think some glowing flames would be cool, but you know I'm partial to flames. Maybe some exposed jagged lines for a lightening effect instead?

Anyways, that pretty cool. It's really bright!
