I fixed it for ya. :-)

I just want to be clear, the reason I took offense this morning is because I felt you were saying I wasn't willing to pay the guy fairly for his time, which is entirely untrue. I inquired about buying directly from him, so as to avoid going the ebay route, which would insinuate I was willing to pay $35 + shipping, but he said we had to go the way of ebay. With a starting bid of $35, that makes me assume he was looking for more.

I'm more than willing to pay people fairly for their time, but how much profit does he have to cut on one car for it to be "worth his time"?

Now also remember I'm the guy that been doing FET mods for $10. I haven't been advertising that, because I don't want micro_amps and others to think I'm in any kind of competition. I do it because I feel $20 is way too much, and I only want to see this hobby grow. I've been widely known to throw in a dual cell, PCB swap, or a paint job, just because I'm cool like that.

I'm also one of the guys who is building cars and auctioning them off here at bitpimps, just to raise money for bPs. I get nothing out of that, but the satifaction of knowing that I'm supporting my hood.

So hell yeah, I don't appreciate people coming into my hood to rip me off.

It seems like several people feel I'm overreacting. Well money's an issue with me right now. I feel like someone tried to take my money by misleading me with partial truths. That pisses me off, and if anyone is gonna act like I have no reason to be pissed, then they can fuck off, I don't care who they are.

If you make me believe I'm buying something that it is not, that is not capitolism, that's scamming. Period.

As it's been said before, I don't know why you're defending this guy, by bringing your name into this he's only made you look bad, and by defending him, it makes you look like part of the conspiracy, in my eyes.

No wait, I'm not done, I told you guys I was gonna go off if people didn't see thing my way. So lets break it down like this...

Radio Shack. They are the epitome of the kind of company that a capitolist society brings about, are they not? I mean they're corporate as corporate gets. Tandy is a huge corporation. These guys are money grubbing bastards, right?

Ok say now they released the SE, but wouldn't put it in stores where we could check it out, we had to order it online, and they would give us no specs about it. They insinuate it's proportional, but when asked they say they have to let RC Car Action review it first. So you do not know what you're buying until after you buy it.

Does that sound right? You think RS could get away with something like that? No, they can't, it's illegal.

So why does it make it ok because we know this guy. I think that makes it worse.

I think maybe I'm reacting more than everyone else, cause I'm the only sucker that almost bought one, oh well whatever, but either way, I'm pissed, and I'm gonna make sure everyone knows.

CD....I think you broke that down pretty well and I don't think you are overreacting at all. You summed it up pretty well with "If you make me believe I'm buying something that it is not, that is not capitolism, that's scamming. Period."

Some people, including myself, got excited over these things initially because it appeared that they had proportional speed and steering with lower profile electronics that allowed you to lower the hell out of a Zip Zap shell on them. We discovered, after doing some digging, that they do not have proportional steering. That information was only brought up after we discovered what these things cost, where they came from, and started to inquire more. Before that, we were all allowed to believe that these things had proportional steering. I was skeptical when the starting Ebay bid for these "clones" was $10 more than a ZipZap SE.

So someone tried charging too much for some clones....good for him if he can get away with it. But noone should be pissed at CD or anyone else for saying no thanks after we had enough information to make an informed decision not to buy them at $35 or even $20 (the current starting ebay bid) and to question it.

I have asked for it several times and still haven't seen a decent review, close-up photos, etc. of these things on bitpimps. All I see are a few guys coming in here saying how great they are and that we should buy them.

What it is starting to look like here is there are a few people who had something to gain from the whole Panther/Ebay thing and they keep coming back to push them because their ebay auctions aren't going quite as well as they hoped.

I'll ask one more time....then I'm done with this. How about a good review of these Panther clones with some good close-up pics, video, etc.

Ya know guys I have been following this thread and the locked ones (yah I’m a Friggen lurker so what!) anyway the way I see it is I sell a ton on eBay my Feedback is over 1300 positives 1 negative so over all I have provided good product and fair prices as I would not have the good feedback I have!

That being said I don’t feel the person in question has done anything underhanded I see a price for the Panthers, I see the description for those said Panthers, and what’s that I see a place where you can ask a seller a question before you bid for the said Panthers! I did not see anywhere in the locked threads or in this thread where there was any advertising going on except people were making such a big deal out of the whole thing they were basically doing the advertising for the member!

I ship items all over the world and a have a mark up on my items because believe me I am in it for the money as anyone would be if they were selling on eBay if your not you are just plain ignorant you want to make the most off and item! As I see his auctions they are a decent markup but you must take into account he is having them shipped in from another country and has fright on top of that so after that to make any money he has to put a markup on it to make some cash (like I said eBay sell in it for the cash)!!! As for shipping not unreasonable as much shipping as I have done that is a decent price for the item in the box!

Also there is no rule that says you have to buy a dang thing from this buyer and if you do buy something you shouldn’t feel cheated if you don’t ask questions before you purchase the item! So what if Zip Zaps are cheaper and you like them better then get the hell of eBay and buy the Piss out of Zip Zaps or buy 20 Clones for the price of a Zip Zap and go Mod crazy but don’t bitch because someone puts and auction up for a car you might want but you cant afford if that were the case we would all be driving Ferraris so stop winning about the auctions get over it and move on its really not your Friggen business anyway!

Oh and if you don’t think I have that feedback here is a link to my feedback yes I do sell a lot and I do know what the Hell I am talking about: http://feedback.ebay.com/ws1/eBayISAPI. ... TRK:ME:UFS

I suppose I could debate point by point, but it would seem fruitless at this point. I did a review at TRC the night I got the cars. You are most welcome to read it. I will post it here if you wish. I've explained the delay in pics. Sorry if immediate gratification is out of my abilities. I am, however, a tad offended by the inference that I am pushing or profiting in anyway from this whole cluster fuck. I just came over to talk about these cool little clones I just got. Read a couple of locked posts, and off we went down conspiracy lane. Whatever, I'm out.
