minizworkshop.com motors
After doing a little reading at mini-zracer.com, hue35 and I bought some motors from this joint. Prices seemed good, shipping was cheap, and people seemed to think they were great motors for the money. We both have non-turbo MR02s (until the woah nellys arrive), so we ordered the 45 turn, stock mini-z motors and some extra bb cans.
First of all, even though we each ordered the same motor and our cars are set up the same, mine was substantially faster than hue's. But this came at a price. Near the end of my first set of batteries with this motor in, my car stopped running altogether. Now my MR02 pcb looks like this:

That white bubble on that transistor chip means it's fried. Hopefully that's all that's fried. Anyway, it was fast while it was running, but now I need to fix my pcb. And if I'm gonna do that, I might as well add a turbo while I'm in there. And if I'm going to add a turbo to my car, I would have ordered the 35 turn, faster, turbo motor in the first place.

Hehe, if you only knew...Bird wrote:Cut those transistors off, clean up the solder pads, and pack it away still torn apart ....
When the Nellys arrive, you'll be done installing yours and getting your first test run in while hue is still dickin' around tearing his car down...
Sorry, I'm just trying to see an upside to this.
hue is ALWAYS dicking around tearing his cars down, even when there's nothing wrong with them. Hell, my cars probably have twice as many miles on them as his do.
