Now granted, I wasn't looking at it on the chassis, just in the package, but I think it looked nice. I saw the Viper too, it still looks like shit.

I agree...I saw both bodies and I think they both look better in person, especially the GT. But...I am also thinking that they look better in the package because they aren't sitting on the chasis yet. With some lowering, the GT may look decent, but its still too fat in the ass and fenders.

Montset truck performance booster upgrade kit

Post by Sdog »

New on the RS site:

Image

The description:
Use all the gear in this Performance Booster Upgrade Kit to make your Monster Truck Starter Kit truly tricked out! The kit includes three extra motors for the speed you want, three transfer-gear sets and three rear gear sets for the curve handling and torque you want! Try combinations of each until your micro RC drives your way! Tune up...turn on...and tear out!

PRODUCT FEATURES:
• Red medium motor (14,500rpm)
• Yellow fast motor (18,000rpm)
• Orange fastest motor (21,000rpm)
• Three transfer gears
• Three rear gear sets
• Extra motor clip with set screw
• Note: Starter Kit required
• Recommended for age 8 and up

Yet no monster truck starter kits :???:

Weren't we thinking these were going to be ZZ's? Those motors and gears look Xmod sized to me. Guess we will be seeing them anytime now.

They will be 1:64 scale, but keeping in mind that a 1:64 Monster truck is bigger than a stock truck. They seem smaller than an X mod motor for sure IMO. Time will tell.

Yeah...That makes sense. I'm sure they are for ZZ's, since they show up under the ZZ section of the website....but I was just surprised at how big they look and their resemblence to the xmod motors. Although its a bit hard to tell from that photo since their is really nothing to compare them to for scale.

Damn if those don't look like pager motors to me lol...

Yeah, we take everything apart to see what's usable 'round here... 219 tore into an old pager a while ago to see what the motor that made it vibrate looked like... bit sized flat can jobber that looked just like those...

Now you're getting it. Bits were originally designed around "Pager motors, and electronics" at first, and I can remember back in the day when peeps were using "Motorola" Motors hard wired for an upgrade.

Good eye man. Do a search on TRC for pager motors, and see a few examples.

Crazy when you see how far we've come in about 3+ years..

And I don't know if you remember Kyle from bitchar-G motors, and his line of motors, but he's made the fastest bit motors I've tested to date, and his parents ran a factory that produced motors for pagers.. After hours, he'd go in and make awesome ones for us.

This may not be a ZipZap but it's cool anyway.

for once ratshack hit the nail on the head.

The should've been marketing previous ZZs as monster trucks, the way they sat on the chassis!

Yeah it looks like it has that kind of steering. But atleast this has large tires, ground clearance, and suspension unlike the Power Brute. It looks a lot better than a PB to me.
