Look Twins Concept GT: 154 grams, GT40: 157 grams

Both these cars have been outfitted with 650 mAh lithium-ions, and 2x4 FET stacks. The new Iwaver bodies are to narrow to just slap in a set of lithium’s and go, so I had to make aluminum reinforced brackets and trim away the old brackets and plastic ribbing.

While experimenting I discovered something interesting, it appears that the brackets where installed backwards if you pop off the clips and switch sides the body sits slightly lower in back, and is much easer to put on and take off. I really like the Concept GT but its waiting for a flood or something, so on the next one I’ll raise the clips about 1/8th an inch and use a GT3 front clip.

they look good dude! well done.

hows the performance with those fancy batts you got there?

i love my gt40 shell (in a non sexual way okay....maybe) but i found that it cant have any rear rolls or shocks coz the body is so small.

does your cars handle well still even with dat extra power?

btw those are supra rims on the black gt4o right?

Handling is what it’s all about. Sure the L-ions give ya a good dose of speed, but even better they’re much lighter and when installed give you a lower center of gravity. This is from an email I received about a L-ion Iwaver I put on ebay:
I continue to enjoy the last iwaver I purchased from you............ it's much faster than my other mini z's, and it handles about as good as a MR2 also!!.
The black GT40 has aluminum rims from GPM.

Here’s another, unlike the GT40 you don’t need a new motor mount to lower the Concept GT. This one is ebay bound with it's l-ions, an X-Speed Pro motor, 2x4 turbo, and ball bearings.

I put a black hardtop on the lowered Concept just to see how it looked.
