Scooby Sportswagon

Post by yakboy »

Thought I'd show you my first chop. :-D It started life as a hitari speed machine scooby saloon body. As I've got a sportswagon I wanted a bit body to match , so out with the scalpel, a bit of a cut & shut job, some filler and paint. I think an airbrush would've done a better job but I suppose I'll get better the more I mod(not quite up to the awesome standards of other pimps yet). Hope you all like it so be kind !!

Bah don't listen to him Yak, Stampy doesn't know what he is talking about. If anything I would just go over it w/ 2-4 light coats of paint to make it even and shiny.

Anyways yakboy if you wanted to lowr the rear(which you dont have to) I would take an axle, and pull the rear wheels off. take some front wheels, and put themon the axle. Make sure to put a spacer before the wheel that is on the side without a gear so it will even out. I am sure someone has a tutorial for this, if you could find any tutorial for how to install dubs it would work, youd just use the front wheels on the back also. I have this on my zipzap and it lowers it very nicely. Good luck if you are interested in this mod.

How about this stampede dude. Had to chop off the front chassis tab & remove the PCB cover to get it low enough. I promise to get a few more coats on soon.

also that ride looks very nice i must admit those wheels are tight bro
i like it alot , the paint seems watery almost ( unless that was wat u was tryna do , i suggest to keep coating ,maybe even a clear coat ofta to give it the look it needs )
