yep, pretty much like dt describes. you push the wing (which is huge by the way) into a slot at the back of the truck. this sets the mechanism. the rear bumper is the trigger and once hit, will launch the wing up a good 4 or 5 inches. as for actual play, it's actually kind of hard to get a direct hit with the way bits handle. when you do get a hit it it's usually more luck than skill. maybe not as valuable as a netz, but still collectable imo. the bodies are nicely detailed and they come with a decal sheet.

don't remember how much i paid, but even if i did i'd probably be too embarassed to say

. i bought mine back in the hey day when you had to put your name on a waiting list at radio shack for a zz, $30 for a tomy bcg was a steal, and clones were selling on ebay for $20.

They supposedly have a rear wing that pops off while 'in battle'.
SOUNDS cool, but so did the PowerBrutes. Does it 'work'?

I got a set of them. The rear wing does pop off. It like tag.

Now looking at these, I would think that these are the new RallyRacers since the dome is oval or that they're fakes!
The reason I say this is because RallyRacers are rebadged Shen Qi Wei's. In that case they should look like these:

Which they don't ! Dome is totally different and the bodies are the same old same ol'.
The new Shen domes are actually smaller than the original. I'm real skeptical on this one!

refresh my memory... i know the new shens had new body styles, but were there any changes to the chassis (electronics or performance)?

I already emailed dude about them, he said most, but not all are labeled Shens. The others have no labels ?????????

I also fuck'd with him about pulling the 1st auction the day before it ended and reposted them for $30.00 more while dropping the "But It Now" price by $35.00
