New Pimp in the house! And one of my rides. ;)

General discussions, new info, and all stuff that's how you say, off the hook. Bit, ZZ, SE, MT, SS... as long as it's micro, it's here.

Post by llama »

What up Pimps! I've lurked around this site for a while and finally decided to register.
I am into all scales of rc cars and have quite a few modded up zipzaps and bits.
Here is the latest one I made to match a Super Slick 1:24 crawler you can see in the bg.
It has a 180mah dual cell, narrowed lego tires, rare earth magnets and of course a new paint job. Dig it!

I'll be posting a topic about the SS when I get it finished. For now you can read the beginning of it here:

Hey all, I havent been on in a while. A couple weeks ago i started thinking about bringing my SSMT back to life with something
a little different. I had already stretched and modded it with 3 cell, steering etc.
It took a while, but I found a great body doner: A 1977 CJ-7 model kit. The wheelbase was a perfect fit. I had to dremel the
heck out of it to get it to sit low enough. I would like it lower, but right not the hood is resting on the pcb pretty much.
I also converted it to run on 2 AAA batts. Talk about convinient! The runtimes are great.
Next I am going to drop in a iwaver esc/rx and a micro servo.
I need to finish the details like the headlights, glass, mirrors etc. I am also making an alloy bumper for it. Enough reading, here
are the pics!

The last 2 show the hacking required for the body to fit. I'll be taking some more outside when I get her finished

So, the little Jeep.....
Is it a Bit? Or a Zip? I can't tell from the pics, but maybe a more trained eye can identify it.

The SSMT looks mighty cool there. I hear such mixed reviews on those. :???:

Well, we're not gonna say not allowed, it's just that the "Mystic Gran Poobah" over there never has and
never will want anything to do with us (we play nice) so we just return da favor! MicroCenter is the only
Micro RC site that feels this way. I'll take care of your link...

Why is it that I can't remember seeing a trukky tricked out ZZ MT jeep like this before... Either way, I trully love it, the paint is kick ass, but the wheels are what make it 100% badass. Welcome to the hood man :-)

:edit: oh shit, it's an OG Zip! Well, that changes everything, wait no it doesn't, still a kick ass ride :-o

That's totally cool. When I first got my Spiderman ZZMT, I immediately took off the Spidey Hummer body (which turned into something else later, ) and put that jeep body on it.

I love that you detailed out all the door hinges and stuff, looks great.

Thanks for the greetings. This seems like a cool site. Much more laid back with less "net cops" too! haha
Yes it is an OG zipzap! I do have a monster, but I need to trick the body before posting for sure. 8)

I am totally rebuilding the superslick seen in the photos. I'll do a new topic in the proper forum when I get images ready etc.

Great job on the ZZ jeep. I'll say it's probably the most "scale" I've seen. Love the detail.

Welcome man. I like your style.
