Wow, those don't look bad. If I ever seem them i be sure to pick one up. I wonder if it has any true offroad ability.

ooooooo lookie, its an X5, lol. Its true, those bodies arent that bad, save for the crappy paint, but, thats to be expected. How much are they gonna cost? And as for this question

Aren't the powerbrutes 4wd? I don't know, as I don't own one, but if it's cheap enough, I'd probably get it for the body alone, and a good chassis to mod. Great find DT

They're 2WD.

No, they look like the KB Toys trucks they had (the hummer and the jeep are 100% identical to these) but these don't have the crappy controller. They are 2WD for sure. I'm interetsted.

KB Had these? Were they Rally Racers?
These have the new Shen controllers. And MaxAttack, how dare you ask if they're 4x4?
I would have to get the X5 and put it on a more appropriate chassis and Pimp it out!

Yeah the Nikko cars w/ the crap controller. Those controllers were the weirdest shit ever. The ball controller is a welcomed improvment (course who here doesn't have at leaste 5 of every frequency in different charging styles)

$15 bucks - in Mahattan, NY on 42nd st off 7th ave

I'll try and get some pics up tommorrow. Its called "Hurricane" . The bottom of the chassis definantely looks like a NIkko.

I'm at a class in the city do I can't check it out untill late tonight

quick review - these are the Nikko's except for a couple of things. Better paint jobs and a couple of extra bodies, they are dual celled, they have lights mounted in the brush guard/push bar, tires are softer/stickier and the controller is different but still wacky. Haven't opened it up yet.

So does the dual cell help out a lot? I had always thought the Nikko car wouldn't be too bad if I put another cell in it, but I never got around to it.

Dual cells help a little, but it still doesn't seem as strong as a Nikko I dualled, but I only ran it once last night (no time). It just may need a few more charges. Is it worth $15 ?? I'm still thinking about that. Especially since I got about 4 Nikko's when they were on sale for $3.50 each.
