Sweet AA/AAA Battery Charger for under $40...
Amazon.com's got it on sale for $38.99 shipped:

Lacrosse BC900 Battery Charger
So what makes this charger so special that it's worth $40 and I'm wasting the time to post it?...You can read all the full details at the link above, but the clinchers for me were (and I just ordered 3 of em, 2 for me and 1 as a late xmas present):
1. Each of the 4 charging banks are independant, so you can charge 1, 2, 3 or 4 batteries at a time. Most other chargers require you to charge batteries at least 2 at a time (I've got a Maha C204W already, but the thing can only charge batts in pairs, so when the 3 batteries used in my TV remote die, I'm shit outta luck on that 3rd batt).
1a. I was also considering the Maha C801D 8xAA/AAA charger that also has each individual bank is independent...BUT whatever mode you're in (charging, slow charge, discharge...whatever) is NOT independant. So if you've got 3 batts charging, all 3 have to be in the same charge mode. This LaCrosse charger has no such limitation, EACH can be set to whatever mode.
2. Each of the 4 charging banks has an LCD screen with digital, numerical readings...No more trying to decypher what the red, orange and green lights mean.
3. Ever wondered what your battery's REAL capacity is? Sure, it might say it's rated at 2300mah, but you might not really be getting that much...This charger has a "Test" function that'll test the capacity and report it back on the LCD screen.
This thing is like having 4 Peak Chargers, can't wait to get my shit and test it out.
