Came across this one.....

so's I built anutha.........

finished today.....

pretty much the same specs only I lowered the cells and pcb, added a front stabilizer bar to reduce bump steer, custom bumper which was origionally a roll bar out of a diecast. the winch was made out of two bolts, washers, broken bit steering knuckle, and solder wire that added some weight to the front end. Lost the spinners though.........
Tomorrow is supposed to be pretty nice, so I think I'll get some vid action finally!

Major thanks to SG for the Deans micro plugs! I got a little sumthin brewin fo ya. Color preference???

Fuckin cool - I think that's the first vid of articulated MT in action I've seen.
You need either upload it here or mail it to me at gmail account or some how get that vid with a screen shot to me.
It needs to be in the Galleries.

Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

That looks a LOT more stable on the rocks, the wheelbase and track mods really seem to have helped. I love how it was able to recover on it's own from all the times you got it high-centered or lost traction. For something that technical, it looks like it could still use a lower ratio Crawer Box though. VERY nice!

I really hate to tell anybody what to do with their rig, especially when it's more awesome and trail worthy than any of mine, but I noticed in your layout that the top green Monster Idler gear is setup as a straight transfer rather than a reduction. So, despite having 5 gears, you're running a 4 gear ratio. Depending on pinions, that setup is around 71.92:1 or 83.95:1, with rearranging those gears on it you could drop it to like 288:1 or 366:1.

If you really want to make that thing move slower than your grandma, you could rearrange your gears like found here http://www.gcrossett.com/zipzaps/modifi ... /index.htm
